Seen at an angle from above, the convention floor of a large comic /
fan expo is in chaos. Tables are overturned, comics, posters and
bodies litter the floor. The air is filled with torn scraps of paper
and wisps of smoke. A few small fires burn on various pieces of
electric equipment such as speakers or video equipment. A banner
hangs from the wall above the four sets of doors at the far end, only
partially attached. The Banner reads: Charlotte Comic and Fan Expo.
Those people not unconscious on the floor (FRENZIES) are venting
their rage on anything they can get their hands on, including each
other. Any faces that can be seen seem possessed with crazy eyes and
snarling, gaping mouths. Most, if not all, are at least spattered
with blood.
